The Interreg Euro-MED GREENSMARTMED project invites you to a high-level event dedicated to shaping the future of the Mediterranean textile manufacturing sector through regional and transnational collaboration. The event will take place in Rimini Expo Centre, Tulipano Room – Via Emilia, 155 – 47921 Rimini (RN), Italy – Part of the prestigious ECOMONDO 2025 International Exhibition.
Organized by the Italian project partners, University of Bergamo (Lead Partner), CUEIM, and AFIL, with the support of CERTH and TEXFOR, this event will showcase innovative approaches, best practices, and tools to accelerate the green and digital transition of textiles.
🌱 Event Focus
Two experts roundtables will address key enablers of circularity and sustainability:
-
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) – strategies for cross-border cooperation.
-
Digital Product Passport (DPP) – boosting transparency, traceability, and innovation.
The program will highlight how SMEs, public institutions, universities, and research centres can work together to build a more circular, transparent, and resilient textile value chain.
🌍 Why ECOMONDO?
As the most important European platform for green technologies and circular economy, ECOMONDO 2025 offers the perfect stage to present the GREENSMARTMED results. Here, the project reaches a wide audience of businesses, institutions, and innovators, creating opportunities to exchange ideas and scale up solutions. This unique context makes it the ideal place to explore Extended Producer Responsibility and the Digital Product Passport, and to highlight how Mediterranean regions can jointly shape a more sustainable textile future.
