08/04/2025

The GREENSMARTMED project partner Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency is gearing up for an exciting event that promises to push the boundaries of green innovation and sustainable business practices. On April 8, 2025, a key stakeholders’ meeting for the GREENSMARTMED project will take place in Stara Zagora, marking a significant step forward in the collaboration between businesses, scientists, and local authorities for a greener future.

The meeting will bring together a diverse group of innovators, entrepreneurs, and experts to discuss and explore cutting-edge green technologies, sustainable production practices, and access to funding for environmentally conscious ventures in green manufacturing. Hosted by the Stara Zagora Regional Economic Development Agency (SZREDA), Bulgarian partner in the GREENSMARTMED project, the event aims to foster collaboration and share valuable insights that can shape the future of the region’s business landscape.

In the context of GREENSMARTMED, the partner SZREDA plays indeed a key role in supporting regional governments and SMEs in sustainable development, innovation, and digitalization at local level. To this aim, it promotes favorable business environments and partnerships between public and private sectors. With expertise in SMEs’ competitiveness and regional strategies, SZREDA will lead the project activities aiming at refining the project methodology for diverse regions. It will also contribute to all project activities, including management, communication, results amplification, data protection, and evaluation, as the sole Bulgarian partner.

Therefore, the stakeholders’ event will allow attendees to participate into a variety of engaging sessions, including:

  • Networking opportunities with leading businesses, scientists, and financial institutions focused on green innovation.
  • In-depth discussions on the latest advancements in green technologies and sustainable business practices.

  • Practical solutions to challenges in sustainable production and environmental protection.

  • Sharing of best practices and ideas that could reshape the regional entrepreneurial climate and contribute to a more sustainable future.

This event is designed to provide real-world solutions to the pressing environmental issues faced by businesses, while also opening up new avenues for collaboration and growth within the green economy.

Organizers are encouraging participants to actively engage in the event by sharing their ideas and questions. Whether in advance or during the meeting, there will be opportunities to voice concerns and contribute to the discussions shaping the region’s green innovation landscape.
