Welcome
Welcome on the offical website of the Interreg Euro-MED GreenSmartMed project!
We are a team of 10 partners and 9 associated that have sustainability at the core of their activities and actively participate in the definition and implementation of S3 policies.
Our goal is to integrate and upgrade the methodologies developed in the Interreg Med GREENOMED and finMED projects and, leveraging the Interreg Med GREEN GROWTH Community, to develop, test, and make transferable a new integrated methodology and related toolkit, enhancing transregional cooperation among the 4helix stakeholders in 5 Mediterranean Regions (Italy, Spain, France, Greece and Bulgaria) to create a European community able to uptake innovations for a green and resilient manufacturing value chain, contributing to RIS3 implementation, and helping SMEs to turn sustainability challenges into opportunities and establish sustainable business development opportunities.
who we are
Our partnership consists of organisations that have sustainability at the core of their activities and actively participate in the definition and implementation of S3 policies.
Most partners come from the former partnerships of the Interreg MED GREENOMED (AFIL, EURECAT, POLYMERIS), finMED (CERTH, RDF) and Green Growth Community (CUEIM) projects (among wich their project coordinators).
Other new partners (both project and associate partners) will provide new expertise and knowledge on the topic (UCBL), will facilitate the addressing of the targeted sectors (TEXFOR, FBS) as well the reach of further MED Regions (SZREDA) or companies (Confindustria Lombardia, Federterziario, Associazione delle Camere di Commercio Italiane all’Estero, Just Transition Institute Greece, European Digital Innovation Hub Zagore) or will increase the impact of project activities and results on public authorities and policies (RDF, Generalitat de Catalunya, Lombardy Region, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Entreprises).
Our Focus
GreenSmartMed project focuses on the current European sustainability and resiliency challenges in line with the trend towards a green and resilient manufacturing.
And the project goes further, by addressing:
- The SMEs shortage of financial resources and difficulties in accessing finance as barriers to their green innovation.
- The need for an ecosystem approach allowing a contamination and knowledge transfer between 4 helixs stakeholders.
- The lack of SMEs awareness about Smart Specialization Strategies priorities and directions on R&I at regional level.
- The mayor sustainability challenges faced in the manufacturing sector: machinery, textiles, plastics, agri-food and mobility & batteries.
- The need to increase the participation of SMEs as partners in the European funding Programmes to implement more effective project in facing their needs.
